A Few Verses

I thought I would share a few verses that have encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. Each time I read them, a thirst to know the Lord and to praise Him for everything is put into my heart. May I truly thirst after Him ever single day...

Psalm 63:1-8
O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is:
To see Thy power and Thy glory, so as I have seen Thee in the sanctuary.
Because They lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee.
Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in Thy name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise Thee with joyful lips:
When I remember Thee upon my bed and meditate on Thee in the night watches.
Because Thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of Thy winds will I rejoice.
My soul followeth hard after Thee: Thy right hand upholdeth me.

Thank you for sharing these powerful verses, Ashley! This Psalm has always been one of my favorites because, as you shared, I cannot read it without being filled with praise and adoration for the Lord, as well as convicted to grow in my relationship with Him . . . to truly thirst for Him and follow hard after Him. Thank you again for sharing!

I'm almost finished memorizing those verses. The older I get, The more comfort they give.
