Some Verses for Sunday

Instead of doing the usual Hymn for Sunday that I do, I'm going to share a few verses that I read earlier on in the week. I hope that they are a blessing as well as a challenge to you.

Proverbs 2:1-9
My son, if thou wilt recieve my words, and hide my commandments within thee,
And cause thine ear to hearken unto wisdom, and incline thine heart to understanding,
(For if thou callest after knowledge, and cryest for understanding:
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord giveth wisdom, out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He preserveth the state of the righteous, He is a shield to them that walk uprightly,
That they may keep the ways of judgement: and He preserveth the way of His Saints)
Then shalt thou understand righteousness and judgement, and equity, and every good path.
May our goal and prayer be to search out the knowledge of God while asking Him to lead us down the path that He desires us to take.

These verses were a blessing to me, Ashley! Thank you for sharing. :) As I read, the verse came to mind "seek and ye shall find". If we seek for the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord, He will let us find it. He will guide us in His truth as we seek Him. What a blessing! And yes, may our prayer and aim be to seek; and as you shared, always striving to follow the path that He would desire us to walk.

By the way, the photo is a rather artistic one! I enjoyed it. :)

"If we seek for the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord, He will let us find it." That is so true Sarah. It's up to ask AND seek for it. You into words something that I haven't been able to get out!
